Baseball Trivia Question #4
By mvyb, 31.01.2007, 12:01

Nice job, Deric! The answer to yesterday's trivia question was indeed Albert Pujols, who hit 37 homers in 2001 (his rookie year), 34 homers in 2002, 43 homers in 2003, and 46 homers in 2004. I did some research into this question, and found that Mark McGwire also hit 30+ home runs in his first four full seasons. But in 1986, when McGwire had his first 53 major league at-bats, he struck only 3 homers.
.
(Albert Pujols)
.
Now, for today's question:
.
In 2006, there were 11 players in the majors who hit 40 or more home runs. Among those sluggers, only two did not drive in 100 or more runs. Name the two players.
.
Answer will be posted tomorrow.

Your questions are too easy! Two names just pop into my head immediately: Soriano and Dunn.
